A room that sets up as a venue, not a hall

Comedy nights, live podcast tapings, seminars and corporate evenings all want the same thing: a room that points the audience at one end and gets out of the way. The floor is open, so chairs go in rows facing a stage end for a show, around tables for a seminar, or in lounge groupings for something looser. Black walls kill reflections and make a lit stage end read properly — which is why the room already photographs and films well at night.

Load in through the doors, not the front

Two garage doors open onto the floor, so a backline, a camera rig, staging or a pallet of product comes in at ground level. There is a projector and Bluetooth sound in the room, WiFi throughout the building, and a presentation bar at the back for when the audience arrives. Bar stools and LED cocktail tables can be added, so a seated show can turn into a standing room afterwards without moving to a second venue.

Questions

How do we get equipment and supplies in?

Two garage doors open straight onto the floor, so gear, furniture, catering and instruments come in at ground level with no stairs and no narrow corridors. The same doors can be left open during an event for natural light and airflow.

Is there a projector and sound system?

Yes — there is a projector and Bluetooth sound in the room. Bring a laptop or a phone and you can put something on the screen or play music without hiring AV separately.

How many people does the space hold?

Up to 100 guests across 2,900 sq ft of open floor. Leather lounge seating is in the room; tables and chairs are hired per piece, as many as the layout needs. The floor is open rather than fixed — so the same room can be set with banquet tables, rows of chairs, lounge groupings, or cleared entirely.

How late can an event run?

The room is bookable from 8:00am to 2:00am, seven days a week. 2:00am is the hard close, so plan tear-down to finish before then. Bookings outside those hours need to be confirmed by email first.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes — there is a free on-site parking lot, so guests coming from outside Scarborough do not need to find street parking or pay for a garage. The venue is on Kingston Rd, which is served by TTC bus routes.
