Wellness

Host engaging experiences like sip and paint nights, yoga classes and interactive workshops in a space designed for creativity and connection. The open floor clears completely, and the kitchens make hands-on cooking workshops possible.

A yoga class at Half Note, with participants lying on mats across the open floor while the instructor stands at the front.

A floor that clears completely

Yoga classes, workshops and paint nights need the one thing most rooms cannot offer: nothing in the way. The floor clears to 2,900 empty square feet, so a large class can lay out mats with real space between them rather than shoulder to shoulder. Heating runs throughout the building, which matters for a class in February, and WiFi reaches the whole floor for music or a streamed session.

Two kitchens make the hands-on formats work

A cooking workshop needs somewhere for people to actually cook, and a sip and paint needs somewhere to pour. Both kitchens have high-quality appliances and prep space, and the presentation bar sits on the event floor so a facilitator can demonstrate in front of the group rather than behind a wall. A bartender and catering can both be added. There are two multi-gender bathrooms, and free on-site parking for participants arriving with mats, easels or equipment.

Questions

How many people does the space hold?

Up to 100 guests across 2,900 sq ft of open floor. Leather lounge seating is in the room; tables and chairs are hired per piece, as many as the layout needs. The floor is open rather than fixed — so the same room can be set with banquet tables, rows of chairs, lounge groupings, or cleared entirely.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes — there is a free on-site parking lot, so guests coming from outside Scarborough do not need to find street parking or pay for a garage. The venue is on Kingston Rd, which is served by TTC bus routes.

Is there a kitchen we can use?

There are two: a presentation kitchen on the event floor and a separate prep kitchen away from it, so food can be plated where guests see it and prepared where they do not. In-house catering and a bartender can both be added to a booking.

What does it cost to book?

The room is priced hourly for the whole floor, with a 3-hour minimum, and the rate depends on the day and the time of day. Send your date, rough headcount and the hours you need, and we will come back with a quote.

How late can an event run?

The room is bookable from 8:00am to 2:00am, seven days a week. 2:00am is the hard close, so plan tear-down to finish before then. Bookings outside those hours need to be confirmed by email first.
